The South of Belarus occupied by the lowland of Polessye is a home of the national park called «Pripyatsky». This is a wonderful woods and bogs district veined by plenty small rivers and streams, slowly moving their waters to the main river of the region — the Pripyats. It bursts in the variety of 37 species of fish. There are pike, carp, crucian, pike perch, bream, perch, sterlet, wells. Some specimens are of huge dimensions e.g. 5 meters length and up to 300 kg weight..
The striking contrast between the golden beaches and turquoise lake water, emerald-green forests and hills-and-meadows scenery is clearly recognizable area of the National park «Narochansky», that teases both a hunter and a fisherman with a wealthy diversity of water flora and fauna.
The National park «Braslavskie Ozera» is of exceptional interest for those keen on fishing sessions. The local lakes count 28 kinds of fish among which there is eel considered the pleasure of the hospitable belarusian tables. These lakes are the habitat of the lobster listed in the Red Book of Belarus.
